Meet Dr. Juan Luis Castro Cordoba

I have spent more than two decades helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and I still believe the most powerful tool in psychiatry is time: time to listen, to understand, and to build a plan that fits you.

I am double board certified in adult psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. I trained at Mount Sinai and completed my child psychiatry fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center, where I also served as Chief Resident. I also hold a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Telehealth is not new to me. From 2009 to 2013 I was Medical Director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences' psychiatric telehealth and consultation program (Psych TLC) and I directed telemedicine for its child psychiatry fellowship. I have presented this work at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I know how to make a video visit feel as personal and careful as a visit in the office.

I teach as well. I am a Clinical Assistant Professor (Affiliated) of Psychiatry at the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine, Nova Southeastern University, and I supervise and mentor medical students and psychiatry residents.

My hormone care builds on formal HRT training and focuses on wellness and mental health, because how you feel and how your body is doing are connected.

I started this practice for one reason: to give patients the kind of care I would want for my own family. I speak English and Spanish, and I treat every patient with respect and without judgment.
